Hello. I am a cycle racer from Penzance, Cornwall, in the far south west of England. I have previously raced the UK scene, but in the 2016 season I raced in Spain for the Madrid based Elite U23 team Pizzeria Espanola, and who I am also racing for the 2017 season.

Sol began racing as a junior in 2011, competing in the prestigious Junior Tour of Wales stage race in the 2011-12 seasons and the National Junior Championships in Wales. After a full 2 year race calendar, travelling to elite road races and stage races around the UK, he was selected for the Chinese sponsored Falco Race Team, a UK based outfit that was launched in 2013 to promote the newly released Falco Peregrine Hi-Mod carbon racing frame into the UK market by the Chinese manufacturer Falco Bike.

Sol is a road racer with an attacking style and a talent for time trial and team work, with two wins at the Cornish series, including several top 10 finishes, as well as winner of the Cornwall TTT championship with the PZW TTT team in 2015.

During the 2015 season, Sol started training under the guidance of Dutch coach Alan Smeets, joining Alan’s roster of athletes that include Lotto Belisol rider and Tour de France stage winner Jelle Vanendert, but for the 2017 season Sol has no coach.

Sol is a dedicated team player, and is currently racing for the Spanish Elite U23 team Pizzeria Espanola who are based in El-Escorial, Madrid.
