This week’s race was in Huesca, up near the Pyrenees, so we traveled the 450km from Madrid up to Riglos where we were staying for the night.
When I woke up on the morning of the race, I felt Ill. The day before I felt fine, but this morning I was not good at all. I tried to ignore it and during the race there was rain, and I crashed into a barrier in the wet, but luckily did not fall. I lost the gap and tried to chase it down, but it was not possible. I was feeling worse as the race went on, and I started feeling dizzy and sick, so I had to pull over and vomit at the side of the road.
the race was over for me, and I just wanted to get back to Madrid. I slept most of the journey back, and went straight to bed to try and sleep it off.
